Georgetown native Myrtle Jenkins-Smith brings boundless energy, a life long commitment to supporting community events and organizational expertise to any project she joins.
Myrtle joined the UPEI team in 2012 with 20+ years of experience as a proven executive, entrepreneur and community leader with a history of success and accomplishment. With highly developed organizational skills, exceptional leadership abilities, a broad fundraising background and a powerful blend of energy, positivity, experience and relationships derived from an involved professional, community and volunteer career, she was well-equipped to join the Department.
As Executive Director of Development and Alumni Engagement, Myrtle provides leadership and expertise regarding fundraising, alumni engagement, Friends of UPEI and Endowments for the University. She provides strategic direction on needs and resources supporting the donor process, including cultivating, managing and maintaining key internal and external relationships to advance the position of the University as a leader in fundraising and alumni engagement.
